Studio policies

Your digital purchase

The price displayed before checkout buys one customised chart as a PNG, JPG and PDF in the A4 or A3 size selected before purchase. PNG and JPG are 300 DPI; the PDF contains vector artwork and embedded fonts, delivered digitally. No printing, frame or postage is included. Review the preview, observing location, date, local time and spelling before paying. The preview watermark is removed from purchased files. GST is not charged: the operator is not currently registered for GST. Your bank may convert the AUD charge. Opening week is AUD $10; the planned standard price is AUD $24.99 thereafter. The Studio displays the opening deadline and current total. Your confirmed order price stays fixed.

Downloads are available for 90 days after verified payment; save the files to your own device. The chart is an artistic reconstruction with the scientific limits displayed in the Studio, for supported Gregorian dates 1950–2050.

Custom digital orders & refunds

Each purchase is generated to your selected place, date, time and design. Once payment is complete, we do not offer refunds for a change of mind, an unwanted gift, or customer-entered details that match the confirmed preview. Please review your settings and spelling before paying. This does not limit any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer law.

Contact support@celestialarchivesau.com with your order reference if payment succeeds but delivery fails, the files are damaged, or the product does not match the confirmed preview. We will investigate and provide an appropriate remedy, such as corrected files, redelivery or a refund where required. Consumer guarantees cannot be excluded; where the law gives you the choice of remedy, that choice remains yours. A failed preview or an unavailable checkout is not a completed purchase. A full refund or payment dispute closes access to the private download page.

Printing and use

You may save and print the chart. The generated sky illustration and our artwork contributions use CC BY-SA 4.0, which permits copying, adaptation and commercial redistribution with attribution and share-alike conditions. We add no personal-use-only or resale prohibition to those rights. See the chart licence and source notices. You retain rights in the title and message you provide and allow us to render, store and deliver them for your order. Your private text, third-party rights and brand/trademark rights remain separate. This purchase does not name a star or grant exclusive ownership of astronomical data.

Responsible use & service scope

Supply only text you have the right to use. Do not submit unlawful content, misuse private download links, interfere with the service or bypass its payment and security controls. Keep your private delivery link secure. These terms do not restrict redistribution of downloaded chart artwork under its stated open licence.

Charts are artistic sky reconstructions within the documented scientific limits. They are not intended for navigation or safety decisions. City-centre coordinates, approximate atmosphere and future timezone rules can affect the reconstruction. Print colours and paper appearance vary by printer; we provide digital RGB files. We are responsible for meeting applicable consumer guarantees and do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy

Preview calculations and place searches run in your browser. At checkout, we store your selected coordinates, date, time, design text and snapshot hashes to reconstruct and deliver your order. Stripe collects payment information and your delivery email; this site does not receive card numbers. Necessary security processing includes Cloudflare Turnstile, and operational logs may record request paths, timing and failures. A daily rotating hash of your network address helps limit checkout abuse.

Cloudflare hosts the site and fulfilment renderer. Supabase stores order records and private files. Resend sends the delivery email. These providers process information needed for hosting, payment, security and delivery; some processing may occur outside Australia. We do not publish your message or selected coordinates, sell them, or add you to a marketing list through this purchase. Your private download token is kept in this browser’s local storage so you can return after payment. Your design and checkout retry reference are kept temporarily in this browser tab’s session storage so returning from checkout restores your choices. Anyone with your private link can download the files, so keep it private.

Paid file access expires after 90 days; scheduled cleanup removes expired master files. Abandoned preparations are eligible for cleanup after seven days. Order records, including the agreed design, payment identifiers, delivery email and delivery history, are retained for support, disputes and business recordkeeping. Our standard recordkeeping period is five years after the transaction, with longer retention when required by law or an unresolved dispute. The operator reviews deletion eligibility; this is not an automatic five-year purge. Provider backups and records may have separate retention periods. There are no advertising trackers in this build.
